Several Blakeman employees will be teaming up with our next door neighbors @ Raider Express in helping them raise money for the Andy Mattison Foundation: http://www.andymattisonfoundation.com/) by participating in the Cowtown 5K run / walk on Saturday February 24th. We are expecting a large turnout this year after having 5 people representing Blakeman on Raider’s team last year. In conjunction with New Year Resolutions being made and our own weight loss competition, this is an excellent opportunity to get some exercise and support a great cause. We are inviting anyone interested to get involved and participate!
The Cowtown 5K is a well run race with plenty of support from bystanders and staff throughout the race for all participants. There are aid stations throughout the course and plenty of refreshments available for after the race too.
For those of you using the excuse that you don’t know how to prepare for such an endeavor, we are attaching a walk / run training program that works very well.

And for those of you using the excuse that a 5K is too far, keep in mind you probably walked 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) at once while Christmas shopping this year!
We want to give Raider Express a head count on Friday 1/13 so we can get you a free t-shirt to wear during the race! If you have any questions, let us know by contacting me at bhunt@blakemantrans.com!
