Memorandum of Notice:
Our weekly sailing schedule has been impacted by recent weather conditions upcoming across the United States. Many consignees and shippers have restricted shipping/receiving windows due to the Weather conditions this week and have been forced to implement practices due to upcoming weather and weather related impacts, as a result deliveries will be pushed back due to receiving capabilities and now Weather restrictions. Frozen shipments and Fresh shipments are/have been impacted by these closures and delays. To safeguard both Blakeman Transportation and you our clients, Blakeman Transportation will not be responsible for Fresh product claims that do not make delivery due to consignee restrictions and/or delays caused by weather events. Our team has outlined a plan with customers to address restrictions considering weather impact. Our team will be in contact with all transportation division’s both from the consignor and consignee end outlining options per shipment and direction from the shipper on what needs to be done with the Fresh Product that is refused and/or not accepted due to closures or limited receiving times. As always if a claim is filed and valid, per Blakeman Transportation Inc. Terms and Conditions the claim will be investigated and actions will ensue. We are seeing a number of facilities closing now across the United States (especially Texas) with limited hours or setbacks due to weather (and COVID) both for inbound and outbound. We will work closely with all shippers to avoid any issues that may arise, but in the case that product (especially fresh) is refused due to closures and/or delays/limitations from ship points and or receivers Blakeman Transportation will not be responsible from claims arising from delays and/or rejections related to or associated with Weather/COVID.
We will see delays due to weather and closures. Our team will stay in communication regarding delay in pickups or the need to push back picks/deliveries as a result of Weather restrictions and impact over the next week.
